PostSubject: Bounties   Wed Jun 18, 2008 5:17 pm

I logged onto MSN, and someone had BOUNTIES as their description....that sparked this idea

in the Naruto realm, there were bounties out for high ranked ninja, either for their crimes(such as Itachi), or for their abilities(like the fire sage). A bounty system(if done right) can boost the game's economy, and add depth to gameplay.

I feel the system should consist of two parts: A village bounty, and and a Bounty collector.

Village Bounty- After a player commits a crime, they are put on a bounty list, with a reward depending on their crime, and to whom(crimes against a Jounin would result with a higher bounty than one against a Genin). Bounties are only placed if a crime is committed to a ninja from that village, but can be placed on a ninja from any village.

World Bounty- Anyone can place a bounty on any player(not on NPCs, obviously). They can also put any reward amount. However, the player placing the bounty must give the reward to the bounty hunter, who would in turn give it to the player who fills the bounty.

In both systems, a player must KILL the other player, then report to the bounty office without dying to claim the bounty.

What if someone places a huge bounty on some ninja who just started?

Shouldn't that not be possible? And Wouldn't the bounty system be controlled by the game itself? Like, the more you kill, the more your bounty goes higher. New people can't possibly kill that much.

Specifically talking about this, anyone can place a bounty on anyone.

"hay letz kill da noob..lolololol ill put a bounty on hiz head 2. u can keel him n get da zenni

Well, it could be that the bounty must already have killed several people outside his/her own village or something like that.

Looking back, it needs revising.

Players have to be part of a village to place their own bounties. Players will still place any amount they want, However only ninja from the same/an ally country can claim the bounty. On top of that, the ninja must be at least a 'Chuunin'. The bounty can only be placed on ninja from an enemy/neutral village, or must have a village-based bounty on his head. The village also 'gets' 10% of the money received from the ninja that placed the bounty.

The village would still place a bounty on a ninja for any crime committed against it, but any ninja(from any village) can place additional bounties.

All bounties must have a reason listed, so ninja know what's happening. Example:
"
Player: John Wayne
Bounty: 30,000 Yen
Reason: Firing more than six bullets without reloading
"

...odd example DP, but w/e

i liek the system, but i believe you should b able 2 place a bounty on ANYONE, even from an allied village (acad tudents would b immune to the world bounty) because, say some1 in ur vill is killing a ninja from an allied village or visa versa, then im prity sure the village bounty wouldnt place a bounty on the allied ninja, or it very well may start a war, which would lead 2 a very long and painstaking process, so i believe any1 (not acad students) should b able 2 place bounties or have them placed upon them

Well, if they run around killing people, I think they should be kicked out of the village, or at the very least have their name in the Bingo Book.

i think being kicked out of the village is a bit extreme, but the bingo book really is jus ta list of people with their bounties, mainly because the higher your rank in the bingo book the higher your bounty, so basically you jut said t ocall it a child, not an offspring (odd referance, i know)

I think getting kicked out of the village would be good so that player would have to pay for their crimes agenst their village. It would make this game more realistic (compared to the Naruto universe). And when you get kicked out of your village the village leader will put a bounty up for you.

your forgetting one thing though, there were two ways of becoming a rouge i nthe series
1) to commit a horrible crime against the vilage and being threatened with the punishment and leaving
2) to leave the boundries of the village without permission (sakura and naruto almost did this after the sasuke retrieval squad and pervy sage saved them by talkign tsunade into making it a super-S ranked missio nwith pervy sages escort)

so yea if you killed your own villagemates then according to the series you would be kicked out, however in a game there are many reasons to overlook it such as an accidental kill, a dispute that was escelated by the one who was killed and the killer retaliated, or there could be a traitor inside the village and the person is trying to stop them.....

Also, you can leave a village without being a "rogue". Jiraiya left the village, and nobody went after him. You should be able to leave the village whenever you want, but joining should be a whole other mess altogether(Not just "join village").

jariya basically had immunity because of his sanin rank, and ur forgetting that tsunade left 2, then she came back as hokagem again, those 2 had pecial privalages because of their honored rank, a normal ninja woudl hev been conidered rouge if they had done that
