| Something that should be obvious, but all too often isn't. A game should have fun, fair, and BALANCED gameplay(that's rule #1). All too often though, you see rips and second-rate games on BYOND offering "fast leveling". While this might sound fun.....it's not. All it offers is imbalance and overpowered players. I don't see the fun in getting to the Jounin skill level after punching a log for a day. Also, I don't see the reason for even have skill levels if you can get 1 level every 30 seconds. No idea why, but this popped into my head, and I wanted to write it down. If you're wondering why overpowering players is bad...... Yeah...... -DP | |

| balancing is so hard especially in a byond game. you also have to figure in lag also since some moves own in lag while others lag makes it near impossible to fight in. Thats why area moves are always favored in byond games no matter how weak they are | |

| i think that yes, balance does seem liek a good goa lto reach for, it is slightly impracticle, because basically the only way 2 achieve balance is to basically give all clans close and distance moves that r similar in power, and thats fairly difficult to do (take lee and tenten for example, would be impossible to balance) | |

| Not necessarily. As long as clans can compete for dominance, I think it's okay. i just don't want it to be like other games, where a couple clans have these "super moves", and as a result, are the only choices in-game if you want to be the best. Every clan should have a plus side, and a down side. For examle, someone who is a Taijutsu specialist would be unstoppable at close range, but are destroyed against someone that can keep distance between them. Likewise, a weapons Specialist would be destructive at long range, but may be defenseless to Strong melee or possibly Genjutsu. I would like to think of it as a game of Rock>Paper>Scissors>, where no clan is on top of the others, there's always a weakness. That's what I mean by balance. | |
